Sauteed Mushrooms
Ingredients:
1 lb mushrooms, any kind (sliced or shredded into ¼ to ½ inch thick pieces.)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic (minced)
Salt & pepper to taste
Step 1:
Add butter and oil to a pan set on medium high heat. Once melted, add mushrooms and garlic.
Step 2:
Cook mushrooms stirring occasionally until all moisture has been cooked off and evaporated out of the pan (roughly 10 mins). Once the moisture has been cooked off, continue to cook the mushrooms until desired brownness (5-10 minutes). Once done, the mushrooms are ready to eat as is or go into/on top of your favorite pasta, meat, pizza, stir fry, etc.
*This is a base recipe and can be modified in a lot of ways. Some of our favorite additions to this recipe are wine, soy sauce, Worcestershire, onions, old bay seasoning, balsamic vinegar, truffle oil-get creative!
